Without Fear of Her Future

Just to tell you a little bit about myself, I actually live in Georgia, but I invest in Alabama. Yeah. So I sort of commute back and forth to where we’ve decided to invest. I’m a retired police officer, and I’ve been in Georgia for about 13 years. I really enjoy real estate. Prior to joining the MasterClass, I kind of dabbled in real estate a little bit over the years. A little here, and a little there.

I have one son who is now 35 years old, and I encouraged him to buy his first property at 19 years old. We are now partners, working together and investing in real estate. When I joined the Mentorship Program, I already had one property that my son and I purchased. So, I started looking around at some of the properties that were there, and I found a house that my son and I decided to invest in back in June.

Now, once I got into the program, some of the things I was learning helped us in renovating and getting the house together. Now, we’re preparing to rent for the next school year. So since I joined the group, I now have six properties. I’ve done five deals since January, and I’m going to look at my seventh deal tomorrow, in the same community as the others.

Five of them are buy and holds, and the sixth one is going to be on-site at my first flip. I’m excited about that. But my goal in this particular community is to not only invest in the community, and invest in real estate, but I also want to become a part of the community. I want to be a part of the revitalization of Tuskegee.
